Counting down to 27 Feb

On 25 Feb I called the U of Iowa hospitals and clinics to let them know I had a head cold. Typically my doctor has wanted to avoid doing neck ultrasounds when I have a cold due to false positive readings. However, the U of Iowa team had a meeting and discussed my situation, called me back and said "a head cold being treated with over the counter products is not a contra-indication for the procedure scheduled on the 27th." I'm to call them only if I have fever or infection...which I do not. So, the 27th is "a go." So, tomorrow we head down for 10 a.m. check in, a 10:20 consult with the team of doctors then at 1:20 I will do an ultrasound guided needle biopsy (not fun) of the neck. I do not know when I'll get results...I'll ask tomorrow. More soon...
