Low Iodine Diet - Day One

I started the LID today.  Yesterday I treated myself to some off-limit foods.  I enjoyed French fries with salt and katsup and even a shake at Culver's.  Today, since I'm on the road with work, I had all my little LID snacks with me and I was not hungry and even enjoyed some of them.  However, the snacks were so carb rich that I think my blood sugar was sky high.  I picked up some chicken legs on the way back to my hotel and cooked them rather plainly (I'm staying at a Residence Inn with a kitchen in my room) and enjoyed a couple.  The other two are in the fridge and will likely be a high protein breakfast tomorrow before I check out!

Naturally, my stress level is climbing as I approach the scan.  I am not sleeping very well.  My brain is foggy.  I just want to sleep.  I know the signs of stress, and I've got them!  Work is not helping any and there are days I wish I could walk away from work to focus just on de-stressing.  Other days I am glad to have the work to distract me.

By tomorrow evening I'll be home and I'm looking forward to not being on the road while tackling the LID!
