First Thyrogen Injection Tomorrow

I can't believe the time has moved so quickly.  Tomorrow is my first Thyrogen injection.  I'll get another on Tuesday; and Wednesday I'll be radioactive (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtJmVDoY904) - LOL when you listen to the song linked here.

The first reading at Mass today was the story of the burning bush.  The bush is on fire, but it is not harmed!  That will be my mental image on Wednesday when I swallow a tracer dose of radioactive iodine - I'll be "on fire" with radiation - yet I will not be harmed!  This same radiation - a gift on this earth from God - is what healed me 14 years ago when I swallowed a 150 millicurie dose.  Wednesday will be just 5 or 10 millicuries.  I'm not sure what U of Iowa uses.

I'm not sure yet what I'm cooking later today...I might make cheeseless pizza with home made dough for crust.  Or I might make some pasta dish with white beans and some lean ground beef.  We'll see...
